I just bought some pmc and a small kiln, and I've made my first piece. I designed this myself and it may have been a little complicated for a first project because pmc is HARD to work with - it dries out soooo fast! Anyway, I'm quite happy with it, it looks a million times better in person because it's not nearly as large and scratchy looking as in the picture, and I've been wearing it, even though it's not nearly as shiny as I want. My question is, how do I shine it up some more? I can't afford to buy a tumbler, and I can only find up to 1500 grit sandpaper. But I'm having a hard time getting in the cracks and the spaces in between the petal points. I really want a nice mirror surface. I suppose it would be nicer too with a bit of a patina. Anyway, I'm REALLY excited about this medium, and I can't wait to try some more! Thanks a bunch!!!!
